Half Dozen "Happy Hens" Egg Share

An Egg Share provides fresh, farm-raised, eggs each week for the 22 week CSA season.
Pick-up is on Tuesdays 3:00-7:00pm at Vollmecke Farm, 155 Cedar Knoll Rd, Coatesville Pa
The season starts approximately the first week of June.  The exact start date wil be set based on weather conditions and crop availability, and ends on or about the last week of October.
If you can't make it to a regular weekly pick-up, there is the option for a one-time deferral, to be added on as a 23rd week at the end of the season.
From our own "happy hens" raised on pasture; farm produce scraps and all the bugs they can catch plus locally sourced non-organic chicken feed. They enjoy the "good life" - out in the sunshine during the day and sheltered at night in their mobile chicken house.
If our hens are not keeping up with production then we supplement with eggs from our friends at Highspire Hills Farm in Glenmoore, PA. Their hens live in an open air hen house where they are able to freely walk about. They are lovingly cared for and fed organic feed
An order placed after the start of the season, is prorated for the number of weeks remaining in the season.
